Pre-application planning advice
Our pre-application planning advice service helps you make a sensible, realistic and successful planning application.
We offer 3 levels of pre-planning application advice service:
Level 1 is for the most basic projects, which would fall within the “other” category of planning applications. No meetings are offered as part of this service with officer (without prejudice) advice set out in a letter or short report.
Level 2 is for more commercial schemes, which would fall within the “minor” category of planning applications. Level 2 (without prejudice) advice will be given in writing in a report. One meeting is included to discuss and explore issues either before or after written advice is provided. Additional meetings will be charged for.
Level 3 is for large commercial or residential schemes that would fall within the “Major” category of planning applications. A meeting to understand the scope of the advice needed and who can provide it must be held first. There then may follow several meetings to discuss and explore issues with contributions from a number of officers. Therefore the (without prejudice) written advice report will be provided within a timeframe to be agreed.
