Safer Neighbourhood Forums

Safer Neighbourhood Forums give you the chance to help shape community safety in Reading.

The forums are regular public meetings and open to everyone. They take place three times a year in each local area. Depending on the topic, meetings may include:

  • Thames Valley Police
  • Reading Borough Council staff
  • Local councillors
  • Housing officers
  • Community representatives

What the forums aim to do

Safer Neighbourhood Forums aim to help reduce crime and the fear of crime in Reading. They bring residents and agencies together to solve local problems. They also give residents a voice in decisions about community safety.

When you attend a forum you can share your concerns, hear about crime and antisocial behaviour work, and help identify local priorities.
