Election day

The local election is on Thursday 7 May 2026.

Register to vote

You must register to vote by midnight on Monday 20 April 2026.

Postal and proxy votes

Postal applications, including postal proxy applications, must be received by 5pm on Tuesday 21 April 2026. This includes changes to existing postal, proxy and postal proxy votes.

Proxy applications must be received by 5pm on Tuesday 28 April 2026.

Voter Authority Certificate

The deadline to apply for a Vote Authority Certificate is 5pm on Tuesday 28 April. You need to register to vote before you can apply.
