Notice of proposed disposal of open space land
Section 123(2A) Local Government Act 1972

Notice is hereby given in accordance with section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended) that Reading Borough Council intends to dispose of  parcels of open space land forming part of the regeneration site known as Minster Quarter Central including the site of the former Civic Centre Offices RG1 7TD and land at or in the vicinity of  Hosier Street Dusseldorf Way Cusden Walk Clonmel Walk San Francisco Libre Walk Libre Walk and Castle Street Reading.  

Minster Quarter Central forms part of the council’s long standing regeneration objectives for the Minster Quarter Area and the disposal is to enable a residential led mixed use development with new and improved public realm to come forward.

The open space land to be disposed of has an approximate area of 1.5 hectares.

The proposed disposal is to be by way of the grant to the developer of long leases to deliver the development.

Plans identifying the precise location of the open space land to be disposed of may be seen below or at the Civic Centre, Bridge Street, Reading RG1 2LU upon request during normal working hours.

Any objections regarding the proposed disposals must be in writing and addressed to:
