Pop up sessions

Free monthly maintenance bike checks with Dr Bike in Reading Town Centre on the first Thursday of every month, 11am to 2pm in front of Sainsbury’s, Broad Street, opposite the Oracle entrance.

Bring your bike along to the town centre and the team will check and tune-up your bike, undertake free minor repairs and diagnose more complex repairs. They are also happy to provide general advice on cycling and cycle route planning across Reading.

Community sessions

Dr Bike is touring around Reading with community sessions scheduled so you, or your child, can drop by with your bikes for a free check and tune up, minor repairs and safety tips.

Dr Bike in the Community events have now been confirmed at the following locations at the end of June and start of July summer 2026.

  • Dee park – Tuesday 30 June 2026: 4pm to 6.30pm
    Dee Space Community Centre, Thurso Close, Reading RG30 4YH
  • Coley – Wednesday 1 July 2026: 4pm to 6.30pm
    Coley Park Community Centre, 140 Wensley Rd, Reading RG1 6DW
  • Hexham Road – Thursday 2 July 2026: 4pm to 6.30pm
    Hexham Road Community Centre, 1A Bamburgh Close, Reading RG2 7UD
  • Southcote Library – Friday 3 July 2026: 4pm to 6.30pm
    Coronation Square, Reading RG30 3QP

There is no booking required so turn up with your bike and chat to our mechanic. There may be a short wait in busy times.

Dr Bike is also offered at events like Reading cycle festival that happens annually or Reading Children Festival.
