Renew your digital visitor permit pack

You will receive an email 30 days before your Digital Visitor Permit Pack expires, inviting you to renew. Each permit pack contains 120 visitor credits.

Before you renew

Please note:

  • You can only renew your permit pack before it expires.
  • You can continue using any remaining credits until your current pack expires.
  • Any unused credits will expire with your current pack and cannot be carried over to your renewed pack.
  • Renewing your permit pack does not make your new credits available straight away.
  • Your renewed permit pack will become active automatically when your current pack expires.
  • Your renewed permit pack will include 120 new visitor credits.

Example

If your current permit pack expires at 10:46am on 12 November 2026, you can continue using any remaining credits up to that time. Any unused credits will be lost when the pack expires. Your renewed permit pack will then become active automatically and your new 120 credits will be available to use.

How to renew

  1. Sign in to your permit account.
  2. Select Bookings.
  3. Find your active Digital Visitor Permit Pack.
  4. Select Renew.
  5. Review the details and continue.
  6. Make payment if required.
  7. Order confirmed.
When will I receive a reminder to renew my permit pack?

We will email you 30 days before your Digital Visitor Permit Pack expires. The email will explain how to renew your permit pack.

Will I lose any credits if I renew early?

No. You can continue using the credits in your current permit pack until it expires. Any credits remaining when the pack expires will be lost and cannot be transferred to your renewed pack.

When will my new 120 credits be available?

Once you have renewed, your new credits will become available automatically when your current permit pack expires. Renewing early does not give you access to the new credits straight away.

What happens if I use all my credits in the pack before my permit pack expires?

You will need to wait until your current permit pack expires before your renewed pack and new credits become available. Renewing early does not provide additional credits before the expiry date. Alternatively, you may be able to purchase another pack, if they are still available for your household. As a reminder, each household gets two free packs, and up to five charged packs per year.

Can I apply for another permit pack if I have used all my credits?

Additional permit packs may be available if you are eligible. To request more visitor permit packs, log in to your account and select the category. Eligibility and charges will be assessed as part of the application process.

Can I renew after my permit pack has expired?

No. Digital Visitor Permit Packs can only be renewed before they expire. You will need to complete a new application.

Do I need to wait until my permit pack is about to expire before renewing?

No. Once the Renew option is available, you can renew at any time before your permit pack expires. Your new pack will not become active until the current pack expires.

How many credits will I receive when my renewed pack becomes active?

Your renewed Digital Visitor Permit Pack will contain 120 visitor credits.

Can I share my Digital Visitor Permit Pack with other members of my household?

Yes. Digital Visitor Permit Packs can be shared with other household members. Further information is available through the permit account sharing guidance.
