Discretionary visitor permits
Households are entitled to 7 packs of digital visitor permits, (2 free, 5 charged), if your household requires more than this limit, you may apply for discretionary packs. A statement of reason and proof of residency is required; any additional packs are charged for; £26 per pack.
Households located outside of the permit parking zone, may apply for discretionary visitor permits. A statement of reason and proof of residency is required; £26 per pack.
Each pack contains 120 hours of parking time, which can be used in flexible sessions to suit your visitors’ needs. You can book visits for as little as 1 hour, or use multiple hours depending on how long your visitor is staying.
Proof of residence
Only one required showing name and address of resident, dated within last 4 months
- Bank statement
- Credit card bill/store card statement
- Gas/electric/telephone bill (mobile phone bills excluded)
- Current Council Tax bill
Statement of reasons
This should include reasons why you are applying for a discretionary permit, the difficulties you have encountered with parking. The more detailed your reasons for applying, the more information the council can use to decide your application.
