Best Practice Team
What our service does
We are a child- and family-focused service committed to inclusion, participation, and positive outcomes across all areas of practice, including developing NQSWs, and strengthening IROs, Child Protection Chairs; who provide effective oversight, promoting Participation. LADO ensures promoting accountability and safe practices and Quality Assurance functions drives continuous improvement through learning and audit. We place the voices of children and families at the centre of our work, ensuring their experiences shape assessments, planning, and decision-making. Using motivational interviewing and strengths-based family led approaches, we support children and families and enable practitioners to develop reflective, relationship-based practice.
Our work is underpinned by a strong multi-agency, inclusive framework that promotes diversity, safeguards children, and ensures equitable access to support. We are committed to ensuring every child and family receives the right support at the right time, with a focus on early intervention, meaningful participation, and maintaining care within families wherever it is safe to do so.
