Beware of scam calls
We have received reports of scam callers targeting residents in neighbouring boroughs who use equipment provided by Adult Social Care or the NHS. This could include aids for the home or technology enababled care (TEC) items, for example, riser recliner chair, bathing equipment, falls alarms.
These scam callers may ask for a payment to make improvements or changes to your equipment.
Please remember:
- Do not share personal or financial information over the phone
- We will never ask for money for equipment, delivery, collection or servicing
- Any legitimate visits for equipment will be pre-arranged and the caller will already have your details
- If you receive a suspicious call, please report it immediately to Action Fraud
