Fire training: roles and responsibilities for managers

This course is suitable for Building Managers, Facilities Managers, Unit Managers, Head Teachers and Bursars.

This course will provide detail on:

• The principles of the causes of fire
• The measures required to prevent the cause and spread of fire
• The principle of fire protection and the means of escape
• Preparing and developing emergency and fire evacuation procedures

All heads of service are require to complete this course and any individuals responsible for carrying out an annual Safety Audit and for the implementation of H&S policy in their service area. It is also suitable for those responsible for ensuring that H&S targets are met, risk assessments and accident investigations are carried out, that H&S information is communicated to staff and that staff receive training.
