Reading’s first ever Disability Pride event

Reading comes together to celebrate its first ever Disability Pride event on Saturday 8 July 11am-3pm on Broad Street, fostering a sense of unity among Reading’s disabled community, their families, friends and supporting organisations.

July is national Disability Pride month which strives to challenge societal perceptions, dismantle stereotypes, and promote acceptance and equality for disabled people.

Reading’s own vibrant disabled community will be celebrated at this inaugural event.

Visitors can look forward to a fun-filled event with inspiring performances, from singers Rona Topaz and Miles, a comedy set from Helen Bryant and a theatrical production from Rank & File. There will also be stalls offering information on their organisations and activities from Me2Club, Caroline Streatfield and Fab4all.

The Disability Pride Event on Saturday 8 July in Reading welcomes all residents of all abilities, ages, and backgrounds.
