Investing in Reading’s roads

The Department for Transport has announced additional funding to be allocated to Reading Borough Council as part of the Network North Highway Maintenance re-allocation of HS2 funding.

This additional funding will allow the Council to further improve the borough’s highway network and road conditions.

Up to 105 more residential roads are due to be resurfaced in Reading in the coming year and up to 75 of Reading’s major roads, most in need of repair, will also receive surface treatment.

This follows the completion of the Council’s £9 million investment programme in residential roads last year.
