Adult social care training

We are pleased to offer a range of subsidised and fully-funded learning options to support the local social care workforce.   Our priority is to support Reading based organisations or those who have a social care contract with the Council, and we also provide fully funded training to personal assistants and unpaid carers.

We are now resuming classroom training where there is a need for delegates to undertake assessed practical skills. These are delivered with enhanced safety measures in place to support safe practice.

Where learning needs can be met using online/virtual delivery, we continue to offer these in this format.

In addition we offer a wide range of online learning opportunities that are provided free of charge to all organisations in Reading. Further information is provided below.

If you have a learning need that is not supported by our classroom or online offers, please contact the Organisational Development and Learning Team  and we will assist you if we can, for example we may be able to signpost you to other resources.
