Library online service down on 22 April

Due to an upgrade to our library computer system, many services will not be available from 6.30am on Wednesday 22 April. The public catalogue and Solus library app will be affected and you may experience difficulties logging in or downloading new econtent on our apps. You should still be able to access anything you have already downloaded.
Palmer Park Library will be open as normal, but services will be affected.
Services are expected to be back to normal by 9am Thursday 23 April. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Reading Central Library is moving

Library services will be unavailable from Central Library, Kings Road from Monday 11 May while we move. The new library will be at the Civic Centre, Bridge Street RG1 2LU. It will open in summer 2026.
